There’s something magical about walking into a thrift store, never knowing what hidden treasures you might uncover. For me, thrifting isn’t just about saving money—it’s about discovering pieces with history, charm, and character. Over the years, I’ve refined my style and learned what truly brings me joy. Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite vintage finds and how I’ve styled them in my home.

European Oil Painting

I found this gem at a large ‘junk hunt,’ tucked away in a bin filled with framed art prints—far from any other oil paintings. The frame is coming apart and could use a little restoration, but to me, that only adds to its charm. It’s one of my most beloved treasures, so I knew it deserved a place where I’d see it every day. Now, it’s displayed front and center in my living room, where it can truly shine.

French Art Prints

These prints were hidden inside an unmarked white envelope, buried in a box of miscellaneous junk at the thrift store. I could hardly believe my luck when I pulled them out. As a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, I have a deep love for all things French, and these art prints are stunning. They feature the Rose Ouest at Notre-Dame de Paris, Vitrail de l’Apocalypse from the Cathedral of Bourges, and Clair-Voie Sous la Rose Nord from the Cathedral of Chartres—each printed in France. When held up to the light, they glow just like real stained glass windows. Wanting to see them every day, I decided to hang them together in the bathroom, where they bring a little piece of Parisian beauty into my home.

Brass Sconce

The moment I walked into the antique store, this brass sconce caught my eye, and I knew instantly that it had to come home with me. I’ve been slowly collecting candle sconces in hopes of embracing more candlelight in my daily life. There’s something magical about the flicker of a real flame—it creates a warmth and ambiance that no electric light can replicate. When the sconces are lit and the fireplace is roaring, our home transforms into the coziest, most inviting space. It feels like something straight out of The Phantom of the Opera.

Arched Hutch

I found this beautiful piece on Facebook Marketplace and wasted no time picking it up! At the time, we had just moved into our first home, and there was an awkward gap in our small kitchen that needed filling. This hutch was the perfect solution for storing my pots and pans. Now, in our dream home, it sits in the dining room, holding all my favorite serveware and floral vases.

Brass Vase

There’s an old house near mine, tucked away in the countryside, that has been turned into a massive antique shop. The woman who owns it has transformed her barn and outbuildings into a treasure trove of vintage finds. While exploring one of the darker corners, I stumbled upon this beautiful brass vase. It was an instant favorite—so much so that my mom has major vase envy!

The Beauty of Timeless Decor

Each of these pieces carries a story, a bit of history, and a touch of personality that makes my home feel truly mine. Thrifting isn’t just about decorating; it’s about curating a space that reflects who you are, one meaningful find at a time. Whether it’s a delicate French art print or a sturdy antique hutch, each item brings a timeless charm that no modern decor could ever replace.
